A total of 26 million won was donated during the event, with 8 teams across 2 categories participating.

Additionally, Mo Yun-suk, CEO of Damwoo Agricultural Corporation, contributed pickled products and ramen to the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea, adding further meaning to the spirit of sharing.

A culture of ongoing giving is also continuing to expand.

During the township residents’ day celebrations held across 16 towns and townships from April 1 to May 10, former residents, companies, and organizations collectively donated 100 million won.

In May, employees of the Goheung Fire Station, the Goheung branch of the National Hanwoo Association, Jung Deok-pyo, CEO of Sekyung Construction, Kim Eun-su, President of the Goheung Sports Council, and Im Dae-ok, CEO of Nuri Co., contributed a combined 38 million won, further promoting a culture of giving.

Goheung County Mayor Gong Young-min stated, “The warm hearts and sincere interest shown toward Goheung are the driving force behind the county’s transformation into a better place to live,” adding, “We will do our best to ensure that donors’ meaningful contributions are not in vain as we work to build a better Goheung.”

Meanwhile, the “Warmth Sharing – Goheung Love Good Giving Day” is held monthly to link the Hometown Love Donation Program with the national Warmth Sharing campaign. The initiative aims to expand donation culture and provide convenience for donors by supporting contributions to the Hometown Love Fund, the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea, the Community Welfare Council, childbirth gift packages, and education development funds.
